Esports at the 2025 CANUSA Games – Hamilton, Ontario | August 8th to 10th
The 2025 CANUSA Games will introduce Esports as an exciting new competition from August 8th to 10th in Hamilton, Ontario. In partnership with Mohawk College’s Esports Management Program, this event will bring athletes from Hamilton and Flint, Michigan, together to compete in video game tournaments, showcasing both individual and team-based skills in a fast-growing, competitive environment.
The Esports competition will feature a series of Rocket League and other popular gaming titles, with matches taking place at one dedicated venue in Hamilton. Athletes will compete for the title of CANUSA Esports Champion, bringing their best gaming strategies and skills to the tournament stage.
While tryouts and practices are free, there will be a registration fee for the 2025 CANUSA Games once teams are finalized. If an athlete is unable to pay the registration fee, CANUSA offers scholarships and support to ensure everyone has the opportunity to compete. Further information on financial assistance will be available soon.
As Hamilton is the host city for the 2025 CANUSA Games, all Hamilton families are required to billet a Flint athlete for the weekend of the event. Billeting helps reduce costs for participating athletes and creates a memorable cultural exchange between families from both cities.
Vulnerable Sector Check:
Hamilton parents hosting Flint athletes will need to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check with the Hamilton Police Service. For more details on how to obtain this check, please visit the official CANUSA Housing & Screening Information.
The 2025 CANUSA Games will offer Esports athletes a thrilling, new opportunity to showcase their skills in a competitive and fun environment. Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or new to the world of competitive esports, this event will provide an unforgettable experience.
Stay tuned for further updates and registration details! Thank you for being part of the 2025 CANUSA Games!
