Billeting for the 2026 CANUSA Games

The 68th CANUSA Games will take place in Flint, Michigan from August 7th to 9th, 2026, and a key part of its success is the tradition of billeting. All participating Hamilton athletes will be hosted by a Flint family for the weekend, who will provide them with a welcoming home, meals, and transportation to and from their sporting events.

Why Billeting Matters

Billeting plays a crucial role in keeping the CANUSA Games affordable, ensuring that athletes from Hamilton can participate without the burden of high accommodation costs. By opening their homes, billet families are not only helping reduce expenses but also fostering international friendships and cultural exchange. Many athletes and families build lifelong connections through this unique experience.

Billet Family Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe and welcoming home for a Hamilton athlete from August 7th to 9th.
  • Transport your billet athlete to and from their scheduled sports venues.
  • Ensure meals and hospitality for the duration of their stay.

Vulnerable Sector Check Requirement

To ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, every billet family must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check through the local police department. For full details on screening requirements, please visit our official page:
