The 2025 CANUSA Games will feature an exciting Darts competition from August 8th to 10th in Hamilton, Ontario. This event will bring together athletes from both Hamilton and Flint, Michigan, competing in a series of matches designed to promote friendly competition and sportsmanship.

General Information – Darts at the CANUSA Games

The Darts competition will take place at a central venue in Hamilton, providing athletes with the chance to showcase their skills and represent their city. The event will focus on individual matches rather than being a full tournament, allowing players to compete in a fun and competitive environment.

Tryouts & Practices

Tryouts and Practices: Tryouts and practices for Darts at the 2025 CANUSA Games are free of charge. All athletes interested in participating are encouraged to attend the tryout sessions to prepare for the Games in August.
Commitment Requirement: Athletes must attend 80% of practices leading up to the Games to ensure they are ready for competition. Consistent attendance is important for being selected to the team.

Registration & Costs

While tryouts and practices are free, there will be a registration fee for the 2025 CANUSA Games once teams are finalized. If an athlete is unable to pay the registration fee, CANUSA offers scholarships and support to ensure that all athletes can participate. Information on how to apply for financial assistance will be available soon.

Billeting Requirement for CANUSA Families

As Hamilton is the host city for the 2025 CANUSA Games, all Hamilton families are required to billet a Flint athlete for the duration of the event. Billeting is a crucial part of the CANUSA experience, helping reduce costs and creating lasting friendships between athletes and host families.

Vulnerable Sector Check:
Hamilton parents hosting Flint athletes are required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check with the Hamilton Police Service. For more details on obtaining the check, please visit the official CANUSA Housing & Screening Information.
