Another incredible chapter of CANUSA Games history has come to a close following a memorable weekend in Flint, Michigan.
Athletes from Hamilton and Flint competed throughout the weekend in the spirit of friendship, sportsmanship and nearly seven decades of CANUSA tradition. Flint earned overall victories in baseball, boys and girls basketball, bowling, ice hockey, skeet and soccer, while Hamilton came out on top in golf, swimming, volleyball and track and field. Hamilton also won the Mayor’s Competition 4-3.
Among the weekend highlights were Hamilton Swimming’s 932-529 victory and Track & Field’s 439-249 result, while Flint put together strong performances across baseball, basketball and hockey.
But CANUSA has always been about much more than the scoreboard.
A huge thank you goes to the coaches, coordinators, officials and volunteers who gave their time throughout the weekend, along with the families and members of the Flint community who welcomed Team Hamilton and helped make the 2026 Games such a memorable experience.
“The CANUSA Games continue to demonstrate what makes the relationship between Hamilton and Flint so special,” said CANUSA Hamilton President Lauren O’Grady. “Thank you to everyone in Flint for welcoming our athletes and families. We’re already looking forward to returning the hospitality when we welcome Flint back to Hamilton for the next CANUSA Games.”
