The 2025 CANUSA Games will feature a thrilling Skeet Shooting competition from August 8th to 10th in Hamilton, Ontario. Athletes from Hamilton and Flint, Michigan, will come together to showcase their precision, skill, and sportsmanship in this exciting event.

General Information – Skeet Shooting at the CANUSA Games

The Skeet Shooting competition will be held at a local shooting range in Hamilton, offering athletes a chance to compete in this fast-paced, precision-based sport. The competition will feature individual shooting events where athletes will test their ability to hit targets in various positions. This event will not be a full tournament but will consist of multiple rounds of shooting.

Tryouts & Practices

Tryouts and Practices: Tryouts and practices for Skeet Shooting at the 2025 CANUSA Games are free of charge. All athletes interested in participating are encouraged to attend the tryouts to prepare for the Games.
Commitment Requirement: Athletes must attend 80% of practices leading up to the Games to ensure they are fully prepared for the competition. Regular attendance is required for team selection.

Registration & Costs

While tryouts and practices are free, there will be a registration fee for the 2025 CANUSA Games once the teams are finalized. If an athlete is unable to pay the registration fee, CANUSA offers scholarships and support to ensure every athlete has the opportunity to participate. More information about applying for financial assistance will be available soon.

Billeting Requirement for CANUSA Families

As Hamilton is the host city for the 2025 CANUSA Games, all Hamilton families are required to billet a Flint athlete for the duration of the event. Billeting helps to reduce costs and provides athletes with a chance to form lasting friendships with families in the host city.

Vulnerable Sector Check:
Hamilton parents hosting Flint athletes will need to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check with the Hamilton Police Service. For more details on how to obtain this check, please visit the official CANUSA Housing & Screening Information.
